Are you passionate about sports or medical technologies? We are looking for a part-time or full-time intern to join our small team, starting as soon as possible.  You will have many responsibilities and work directly with the mechanical design of the MVP of our wearable. The ideal profile is someone having experience in product design, mechanical and preferable manufacturing engineering.  Your tasks: Help in Build & Test the smart garment, the enclosure and the connector Test if current design meets performance requirements ( resistant to moisture, chemical compatibility) and mechanical requirements (strength, impact resistance, stiffness, fatigue behavior)  in order to verify product quality   Analyze production processes alternatives (e.g printing technologies like injection molding, SLS, SLA etc) Design for manufacturing: selection of proper material, cost, design and process combination for the product by which the user needs are meet Help in preparing the series 0 production and reach out to new relevant suppliers within Europe or Asia (for different mechanical components, plastic materials, textiles) for scaling up Prepare design for packaging  Knowledge within: Plastic material properties, understanding material behavior  Familiar with material selection, manufacturing processes and design matched to the product performance requirements Manufacturing concerns,cost effective designs Your mom says you are a: Quick learner Problem solver Creative  Curious & passionate Sport or medical technologies enthusiast Independent worker not afraid of taking initiatives Good communicator English speaker Why do we need you? StepUp Air has received early funding and has been part of several accelerators. After a successful proof of concept and several iterations of working prototypes, we are now finishing our minimum viable product. And we need you to make it groundbreaking!
